Hi there! I’m Potion, a UIUX Designer based in Taipei, Taiwan.

I’ve delved into this industry for about 6 years. I have experience from both B2B and B2C products. Most of my time. I am a solo product designer. my strength is to think critically from UX to UI independently, and work closely with product manager to extend the core value of the product to the UX value.

I’m skilled in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, illustrator, also familiar with HTML, CSS and Bootstrap. Recently start adopting some AI tools including DAll E, chatGPT, Stable Diffusion into my design process.

Outside the design world, I’m all about soaking in the great outdoors, hitting the gym, love philosophical and psychological conversation and podcasts. I believe mental strength and understand how it works is the secret sauce that makes my work and life better in general.

我使用Figma、Sketch、Photoshop和Illustrator，也熟悉HTML、CSS和Bootstrap。最近開始加入一些AI工具的運用，包括將DALL·E、ChatGPT、Stable Diffusion納入我的設計流程中。

Empathize

The importance of the Empathize stage lies in its focus on gaining a deep, empathetic understanding of the users and their environment. It involves observing, engaging, and experiencing to gather insights about users' needs, behaviors, emotions, and motivations. This foundational step ensures that design solutions are grounded in real user experiences and challenges, rather than assumptions.

Define

In the Define stage, designers synthesize the information gathered during the Empathize stage to articulate the users' needs and problems clearly. This stage is crucial because it sets the direction for the design effort by creating a clear problem statement that guides all subsequent creative efforts. A well-defined problem statement helps maintain focus and aligns the team on a common goal.

Ideate

Ideation is the stage where creativity comes to the forefront. The goal here is to generate a wide array of ideas and solutions, challenging conventional assumptions and exploring a broad solution space. This creative process is vital because it allows the team to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions that can effectively address the defined problems.

Prototype

Prototyping is about turning ideas into tangible products. This stage is essential because it translates theoretical ideas into physical or digital forms that can be interacted with and tested. Prototyping is not about creating a perfect solution but rather learning and understanding how the design performs in the real world. It helps teams explore possibilities and iterate designs quickly based on real user feedback.

Test

Testing involves putting the prototypes into the hands of actual users to understand the viability of the proposed solutions. This stage is critical for refining and improving the product based on direct feedback. Testing helps identify unforeseen issues and user difficulties, ensuring that the final product is not only functional but also user-friendly and well-adapted to meeting the users' needs.
