ABOUT THE PROJECT

Founded by Vertex in 2005, OneSuite emerged as a leading VOIP service platform, garnering significant traction in the market prior to the rise of Skype. Recognizing the sustained demand for VOIP services in today's digital era, the company is poised to undergo a comprehensive rebranding, transforming its user interface and overall aesthetic to appeal to a new generation of customers.

RESEARCH

The transition from traditional telephony to internet-based calling, or VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), marks a significant technological shift. Traditional phone systems rely on circuit-switched networks, providing reliable, high-quality voice calls over copper lines but with higher costs and less flexibility. In contrast, VoIP uses packet-switched networks to transmit voice data over the internet or private networks, allowing for more efficient bandwidth use and the integration of various communications forms, including video and text. Key technologies facilitating this shift include codec conversion for translating between analog and digital signals, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for managing communication sessions, Quality of Service (QoS) management to prioritize voice data, and technologies for echo cancellation and noise reduction to improve call quality. This change brings substantial benefits, such as reduced costs for long-distance calls, enhanced mobility, and the ability to use a wide range of devices for communication beyond traditional phones. However, it also relies heavily on internet connectivity, meaning call quality and reliability can vary based on the local internet infrastructure. Overall, the move to VoIP reflects a broader digital transformation in communications, offering greater versatility and efficiency despite challenges related to internet service variability.
